Fundación Telefónica Movistar makes “We, Robots” available to the public, an interactive online exhibition that invites us to reflect on the possibilities that automata offer to transform the future of humanity.
“Upon entering the virtual room, a robotic host welcomes users and invites them to take the tour from the comfort of their homes, through audiovisuals, models and infographics. It will also test the visitor's knowledge through a series of questions that, when answered correctly, will unlock the levels of the exhibition ”, comments Ana Mancera, General Manager of Fundación Telefónica Movistar about the interactive experience.
"We, Robots" takes place in a virtual room divided into five sections. In each one, topics such as the origin of robots and their ancestors are addressed; the emotional connection between humans and machines; classification according to their functions and materials; the fascination they generate in literature, cinema and TV; and the importance of robots in different industries.
In this historical tour, the visitor will discover pieces as relevant as the reconstruction of the 'Mechanical Knight' (1495) by Leonardo da Vinci; 'InMoov', the first home-made humanoid with 3D printers; and iconic pop culture robot models, such as “Terminator” or R2D2 from Star Wars.
Those interested will be able to enjoy the exhibition for free by entering the web portal https://www.fundaciontelefonica.com.ve/.
