In Sucre state, approximately 4.737 people have undergone surgery so far in 2023 through the "Health Route is Love for Sucre" program promoted by Governor Gilberto Pinto, in the eastern state.
The information was released by the regional president, during his speech on the program "Loyalty is love for Sucre" that he conducts every Monday, to report on the progress of social actions and new projects to be carried out for the well-being of the Sucre community.
In this context, the highest authority of the region indicated that in the health program that is activated in the 15 municipalities of the eastern geography, low complexity operations have been carried out by the professional staff of the Regional Health Foundation ( Fundasalud) and the Barrio Adentro Mission.
Bilateral inguinal hernias, sterilizations, preauricular appendages, umbilical hernias, varicoceles, hydroceles, and lipomas have been intervened during this program promoted to guarantee the health of the vulnerable population, the governor reiterated.
He indicated that the 18 Comprehensive Community Health Areas (Asic) of the state are activated for the execution of these operations aimed at addressing the different pathologies that patients present.
He assured that thanks to the support of the national Government through the Ministry of Health, it has been possible to provide a response in health matters to the inhabitants who converge in the entity.
He reiterated that they are also advancing in the recovery and conditioning of new medical centers, in order to strengthen the public health system and provide optimal and quality care to citizens.
More than 68 thousand medical consultations have been carried out in Sucre
In the same way, the governor said that through the different medical assistance days deployed throughout the Sucre entity, some 68 thousand 664 medical consultations of different specialties such as: ophthalmology, dentistry, gynecology, psychiatry, traumatology, among others.
Medicines are also delivered free of charge to patients during these medical operations, with the aim of offering peace of mind to the population, stressed the regional president.
He maintained that they will continue to promote these health days in the entity, with the purpose of continuing to ensure the state of social welfare of the inhabitants of Sucre, in compliance with the guidelines issued by President Nicolás Maduro.
“We will continue to guarantee the health of our people in the first place, our team of health professionals remain deployed with the Route of health is love for Sucre offering care to the most vulnerable. Our army of white coats will continue together with our grassroots leaders working jointly to raise the welfare state of the population as a single government, as President Nicolás Maduro has instructed,” he mentioned.
Finally, he affirmed the commitment to promote new social plans that respond to the needs and concerns of the community, having as a fundamental axis the improvement and restoration of the main medical care centers in the entity.
