The Venezuelan Willson Contreras, of the Chicago puppies, hit his 16th home run of the 2022 Major League Baseball (MLB) season this Friday afternoon.
In the bottom of the eighth inning, “Willy” cracked a short, slow delivery from Marlins reliever Dylan Floro to drive the ball out to left field.
According to Baseball Savant, the Venezuelan's connection, with a runner, posted an exit speed of 104.2 miles per hour and traveled 396 feet.

On this day, the Venezuelan catcher went 4-1, with runs scored and two RBIs to reach 41 in the campaign.

Thanks to Willson Contreras, who became the "money player" of the match, the Cubs ended up winning (2-1) this challenge against the Marlins.
Now, the Cubs, who flirted with trading Carabobeño, have a 42-63 record.
