Cádiz achieves a historic victory against Real Madrid

Cádiz achieved this Saturday the first victory in their history as a visitor against Real Madrid. The Andalusian team won 1-0 and gave the meringues their first defeat in six days of Spanish football.

The Andalusians were able to contain from that moment the onslaught, timid of Real Madrid, who lost a goal for offside by Karim Benzema (80).

In addition to the setback, Real Madrid was left with the loss of Sergio Ramos due to a left knee injury. Annoyances that are a bad sign before receiving the Ukrainian Shakhtar Donetsk at the start of the Champions League on Wednesday.

Zidane made four changes at halftime, which in the end did not work.

«They showed more rhythm and more enthusiasm. There is no excuse, we played a bad game and we must congratulate Cádiz. It has been very difficult from the beginning and if they score us two or three goals in the first half, nothing happens, ”said the French coach at the end of the game.

Now Zidane's men see Cádiz overtake them at the top of the standings, with ten points, although the Andalusians have one game less.
