With a brilliant performance by goalkeeper Wilker Fariñez, Venezuela drew a goalless draw against Colombia, this Thursday for the second day of the Copa América 2021.
With a line of five designed by the Portuguese José Peseiro, Venezuela waited for Colombia and kept order.
The figures of Colombia, Juan Guillermo Cuadrado and Duvan Zapata, constantly pressed but could not against the defensive wall of Fariñez, indisputably the best player of the match.
"It is an important point for us ... Especially against a rival like Colombia that is very strong, that sibling rivalry is always present," said Fariñez at the end of the game.
"The heart that you have, the claw, is what you have to applaud ... We hope to continue improving," he insisted.

Those led by José Peseiro, who fell on their debut against Brazil (3-0), showed that they will fight every day until the end and added their first point of the tournament.
Colombia, for its part, was left with four units momentarily in command of Group A, which also comprise Brazil, Peru and Ecuador.
