The celebration began on Thursday afternoon when the Diocese of Barinas launched the audiovisual production: El Beato, through its YouTube channel, which had already added more than three thousand views.

The video was recorded in different stages of the Marquise city, as well as locations in Lara and Acarigua. Different artists from the entity participated in this musical project and joined to pay tribute to the new blessed José Gregorio Hernández.

At 7:00 in the morning of this Friday, all the churches rang the bells, announcing the arrival of the day to give the deserved recognition of the Catholic Church and officially elevate the doctor of the poor to the altars.

The Vicar General of the Diocese of Barinas, Monsignor Víctor Manuel Roa, reported that as part of the activities planned for this Friday, at 4:00 in the afternoon Holy Hour began and at 5:00 pm a Mass of Action of Thank you in the city's cathedral for the beatification of Dr. José Gregorio Hernández.

This Eucharist was attended by Governor Argenis Chávez, accompanied by Mayor Rafael Paredes, deputies from the National Assembly, among other authorities, and parishioners from the parish.
