The governor of the state of Zulia, Omar Prieto Fernández, reported that in order to continue promoting the community economy in the region, 119 productive projects will be financed, which will be added to the first 138 related to bakeries, planting, honey production, textile activity, footwear, benefiting to 218 communes as well as to informal merchants of the Central District of Maracaibo who also sent their proposals, as reported in his program Omar a la 7.
The meeting was held in the Los Museums Commune, located in the Luis Hurtado Higuera Parish of Maracaibo, where a Bolívar Chávez Battle Unit (Ubch), eight communal councils dedicated to the production of sandals, sweets, ceramics, seedbeds, planting cassava, semeruco, passion fruit, plums and suckers.
The regional president assured that the first communal state in the country will be Zulia, where he pointed out that the path of Hugo Chávez is being retaken, although the resources are no longer the same due to the sanctions and the blockade applied to Venezuela to demotivate the councils. However, he explained that a new stage will come.
Prieto Fernández announced the acquisition of land for the construction of a Mission Base in favor of the vulnerable population of the area and agreed that in each commune visited a Communal Shelter should be inaugurated, a school and an outpatient clinic recovered.
