Apure's first river waterway inaugurated

The Minister for Transportation, Hipólito Abreu inaugurated the San Fernando-Bruzual waterway from Apureñas, this being the first river route within the framework of the National Waterway Plan carried out by the Ministry of Transport.

The activity was carried out from the majestic Apure river, under the María Nieves bridge in the San Fernando municipality with the accompaniment of the candidate for governor for the Great Patriotic Pole, Eduardo Piñate, mayor Ofelia Padrón and other national and regional authorities.

This river route will have two boats with a capacity of 12 and 30 passengers respectively, it is also expected to benefit more than twenty communities, including some of Puerto Miranda, belonging to the Camaguan municipality of Guárico state, benefiting more than 12 thousand people. This was announced by Minister Abreu.

"This route will have a ticket office for the acquisition of tickets at solidarity prices in the passenger terminal of the capital city" also stressed that this route departs from the María Nieves Bridge to the Fish Processing Plant, in the Diamantico sector of the San Fernando municipality ”, highlighted the national transport authority.

To finish Abreu emphasized that little by little more vessels will be added that will reach the Orinoco-Apure axis to take advantage of the water highway that Venezuela has and thus strengthen the economic sector of the country.
