Second batch of Sputnik V arrives in Delta Amacuro

Delta Amacuro received 1.115 doses of Russian Sputnik V vaccines on Sunday corresponding to the second dose necessary to continue with the immunization process for health and front-line personnel of the entity.

At the Tucupita National Airport, Dr. Yajaira Segovia, Head of the Regional Health Directorate of the Delta Amacuro state, was in charge of receiving this second batch, accompanied by officials from the Bolivarian National Armed Forces and the Zodi Command No. 61. The batch was immediately transferred to the Dr. Luis Razetti Hospital in Tucupita, where the vaccines will continue to be applied.

Since last February 27, the application of the first dose of the vaccines to the medical personnel of the first line of combat against covid -19 in the entity began.

"We have already vaccinated a large part of our medical staff with the first batch, and we prepare with these 1.115 vaccines that are arriving, we will continue with our days, until we protect all the deltans," added Segovia, who recalled that the immunization process against covid-19 consists of two doses applied in an interval of 21 days.
