Rains affect communities in Cojedes state

The families of communities near the Pao-Pichincha Reservoir are being evicted preventively, this due to the increase in their water levels.

Different communities of the Cojedes state have been affected by the heavy rains that have occurred since last Monday, August 2 to date.

Maraquita, Las Rosas, Palambra, Zambrano, La Sierra, Solano and some sectors of the northern area of ​​San Carlos, in the Ezequiel Zamora municipality, have reported landslides in the access roads.

This circumstance directly affects the passage of the inhabitants of these sectors and the farmers, who require the clearance of the roads in order to carry out their commercial activities with vegetables and greens that are produced in the Area.

Meanwhile in the municipality of El Pao de San Juan Bautista, families from communities near the Pao-Pichincha Reservoir are being evicted preventively, this due to the increase in the water levels of the Reservoir, which has already caused flooding in houses and lots of sown land.

The competent authorities are in the area in order to prevent any emergency, as the rains continue in the entity.

Through the social networks of the Government of Cojedes, it was learned that the Regional Executive visited 3 of the communities most affected by the rains, such as Zambrano, El Pueblito and Pueblo Centro, where they also traced work and action routes for prevention.

The governor of Cojedes, Margaud Godoy, said that the priorities in the area are saving lives, assistance to families and care for farmers.

He also expressed that they will continue with the accompaniment, until the emergency is solved.
