Pets received social medical care in Miranda

This Tuesday, in the El Bosque de Charallave park, a team of veterinarians and the Bolivarian Mayor's Office of Cristóbal Rojas treated more than 200 dogs and cats during a free social assistance day.

For his part, Félix Godoy, coordinator of Misión Nevado in the jurisdiction, pointed out that the canines and felines received medical consultations, nail trimming, ear cleaning, application of the rabies vaccine, deworming and hematological examination to rule out any pathology.

The dogs and cats were also given medical treatment, according to the pathology presented. “The attention to the animals will be carried out in all the municipalities of the Valles del Tuy, by orientations of the president of Misión Nevado, Maigualida Vargas. The idea is to shelter and protect our pets ”, stated Godoy.

For her part, Maigualida Vargas, president of the Nevado Mission in Venezuela, swore in the animal protection team that it will consolidate the inclusion, care and protection project for pets in the Valles del Tuy subregion, Miranda state.

From the headquarters of the Municipal Superintendency of Taxes in Cristóbal Rojas (Sumatcrir), Vargas commissioned Félix Godoy as municipal coordinator of the social program in the Tuyero axis.

The municipal team gave medicines, dewormers, flea and tick vaccines to care for the animals in Charallave.

The official said that the Nevado Mission is a collective, eco-socialist, animalistic and revolutionary movement, whose objectives are based on the rescue and protection of animals in street situations; in addition to promoting the recognition of animal rights.

Similarly, he stressed that the social care program for animals was created by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, in 2013, in honor of the hero dog that accompanied the Liberator Simón Bolívar during the Admirable Campaign until the Battle of Carabobo.

During the installation, Junior Vásquez, municipal secretary of government in Cristóbal Rojas, stated that the formation of the Nevado Mission shows an act of love for all the local pets. 

He assured that the program strengthens and consolidates the proposals for the protection of all animals. "The Mission will allow us to advance in the construction of a society of peace, where the rights to animal health are safeguarded."
