With changes of names in their directives, the municipal councils of the municipalities Ambrosio Plaza (Guarenas) and Zamora (Guatire) were installed for this legislative period of 2021 - 2022, in two very simple acts carried out this Monday under the sanitary biosecurity measures for prevent a possible spread of covid-19.
In Guarenas the activity took place in the Plaza Bolívar, where the mayor Claudio Pineda took the oath of Joan Russell Contreras, who became his successor and the youngest president in the history of the local legislature.
Contreras will share responsibilities with Auristela Díaz in the vice presidency, while Carlos Enrique Jugo was ratified as municipal secretary.
The mayor of the Plaza municipality, Luis Figueroa, expressed his support for the new authorities who will start a management this season that is marked by the celebration of the quadricentennial of this Mirandian city, on February 14.
Figueroa proposed that today's youth be considered as the 400 generation, because they give their best for the development of the city.
For his part, in Guatire, Mayor Hugo Martínez swore in Ivón Rengifo, who was ratified as the highest authority of the Chamber and Yohan Romero as second in command. José Manuel Milano will remain in the municipal secretary, Francelis Carreño will be the new undersecretary and in the direction of Administrative Management will be José Pompa.
Hugo Martínez said that challenges await the Municipal Council in 2021 and one of them is to draft new regulations that will allow the city to be organized in this atypical situation posed by the pandemic.
He congratulated the councilors for their perseverance in the analysis, evaluation and approval of the additional credits that guarantee an efficient government.
