The mayor of Naguanagua, Gustavo Gutiérrez, reported that more than 4.000 PCR tests have been carried out in the municipality so far in 2021, as part of its social commitment to prevent the spread of covid-19 and its variants.
Through a press release, the official indicated that thanks to an alliance between the Mayor's Office of Social Development and the Cuban medical mission Barrio Adentro, an effective approach has been achieved in the municipality to families with symptoms associated with the virus.
He indicated that in Naguanagua, to date, more than 21 thousand homes have been visited.
"During the first four months of 2021, 75 communities were agreed, serving a total of 85.856 people and conducting 4.828 PCR tests," he said.
The mayor indicated that this week from May 03 to 07, investigations are planned in 14 other communities.
