The Barinas Cathedral will be open on Wednesday and Holy Sunday to celebrate the Eucharist with a controlled attendance that does not exceed 50 people.
The parish priest of the temple, José Romero, reported that the activities planned for this Greater Week were suspended to comply with the instructions given by the national and regional authorities, as part of the measures to avoid crowds and the spread of covid-19.
He indicated that the Chrism Mass is being prepared for this Tuesday with the presence of all the Barinese priests and clergy, which will be held without an audience and closed. From Thursday to Saturday the church will also be closed.
The scheduled Eucharists will be broadcast on the María Reina 93.3 FM station at 10 in the morning, so that the Barinese can hear the word of God during Holy Week.
“We decided to suspend the scheduled activities. Some days we will have mass with very little public. The broadcasts of all the Eucharists will be made. It is a time to stay at home, pray, share with the family and ask God for the health of our people ”, he mentioned.
The Eucharists will be broadcast at 10 am on the María Reina 93.3 FM radio station.
