In the Guárico state, the Dr. Francisco Risquez Type I Hospital was reopened, which is located in the town of El Sombrero, Julián Mellado municipality, a center that was relocated and expanded in terms of its physical infrastructure for the incorporation of new areas of care totaling 23 for the benefit of more than 30.000 inhabitants of the town.
The information was released by the governor of Guárico José Vásquez, during a presidential day of work in the health area led by President Nicolás Maduro, in which Vásquez alleged that the relocation of the hospital that had more than 80 years of operation , was executed in coordination with the organized People's Power, to the Campo Alegre sector from where 14 other sectors of the point and circle are directly benefited 24 hours a day.
The facilities used correspond to those of the Joel Leal Major Outpatient Clinic, which were rehabilitated and expanded in order to start up the Dr. Francisco Risquez Hospital.
Among the improvements that this hospital center has, the unique Guárico health authority, Dr. Rayner Rondón, explained that it has to do with the modular location of both pediatric and adult emergency areas, as well as the delivery room. ; also counting on trauma shock services, internal medicine, gynecology, obstetrics, laboratory services, x-rays, among others, in addition to having 188 health workers.
Similarly, regional authorities indicated that a vaccination post against covid-19 is also active, as well as a respiratory triage area to provide care and treatment to patients affected by this virus.
This project is part of the regional planning within the Plan to Strengthen the Public Health System 2021, with which 71 infrastructures have been optimized at the regional level in the last 4 years.
