Dr. Víctor Cruz, director of the Santos Aníbal Dominicci Hospital in Carúpano, Bermúdez municipality, received a second batch of Carvativir from Fundasalud for the care of patients with covid-19.
After the delivery, Dr. Cruz indicated that: "thanks to Governor Edwin Rojas, progress has been made progressively in the fight against covid-19 in this municipality," according to a press release from the Sucre Government.
He also explained that the health center has 24 beds in the covid area and about 25 in a preventive isolation area.
Likewise, given the presence of the new Brazilian variant in the country, he urged citizens to comply with the protocol issued by the Ministry of Health, which will serve to counteract the harmful effects of the coronavirus in the region.
For his part, Neptalí Rodríguez, executive director of Fundasalud, who delivered the Carvativir, said that only 26 patients are being held in the Bermúdez hospital.
He agreed that thanks to the national and regional government, treatment against covid-19 is guaranteed for Sucrense infected with the virus.
