Bolivarian citizens in a civic-military and police union, together with the youth, toured the Angostura Bridge to receive the Bolivarian Torch in commemoration of the Bicentennial of the Battle of Carabobo that traveled through the main roads of the capital city of Bolívar state, under the slogan “ From Angostura towards the Bicentennial of the Battle of Carabobo ”.
Sergio Hernández, mayor of the Angostura del Orinoco municipality, received from the governor of the Bolívar state, Justo Noguera Pietri, the Bicentennial Torch, an important libertarian emblem brought to Guyana by national athletes, therefore Ciudad Bolívar and its people celebrate the arrival of the flame libertarian.
"It is an honor to receive this libertarian flame, under the blessing of God we continue to build the country, together with the legacy of Bolívar, Chávez, Darío and today more than ever that of Aristobulo," said the mayor.
Likewise, the municipal authority delivered the Bicentennial Torch to the leaders of the Cathedral parish, the historic quadrangle of Ciudad Bolívar, to continue the journey towards the 5th Brigade of Fluvial Infantry Captain José Tomás Machado, of the Bolivarian Navy.
He also announced that the Carabobo fire will travel through each parish of the Bolivarian capital, to promote the fight for the libertarian and sovereign ideals of the homeland.
