Prevention agencies such as Civil Protection and the Fire Department of the city of Barinas began disinfection days in educational institutions with a view to the start of the new school year 2021-2022.
The Mayor of Barinas reported that as part of the actions to guarantee the return to classes and comply with the sanitary protocols, the disinfection of the Simón Agustín Jiménez Educational Unit and the Liceo Bolivariano Libertador was carried out, in order to protect the teachers and students of the spread of SARS-CoV-2 and its variants.
On the other hand, Dr. Mirla Castellanos, head of the Educational Zone in the entity, reported that by instructions from Minister Yelitze Santaella and the regional government, the "A Drop of Love for my School" plan is being intensified, in order to strengthen quality education towards a safe and progressive return to classes.
He explained that progress is being made with the cleaning and improvement of the 1.630 schools that are part of the entire educational infrastructure with the support of the staff, popular power, the Interior and institutions of the national government.
«Energy saving light bulbs for the internal lighting of schools and other electrical materials have been delivered through FEDE; in addition to having the active participation of different bodies that belong to the School Infrastructure Board, ”he mentioned.
