Civil and military authorities held a meeting with the owners of piers in the town of Tucacas, Silva municipality of Falcón state, with the interest of urging that the presidential decree be respected to address the radical quarantine in the area during Holy Week, before the rebound in positive cases of covid-19 in the entity.
In their social networks, Inparques en Morrocoy @morrocoytuyo published that the representatives of the Inea, GNB Coast Guard and that institution in charge of safeguarding the Morrocoy National Park were present at the meeting.
In it, the legality of these piers was analyzed; after the operation to update the service providers of the Morrocoy NP began in previous days in order to regulate and respect the load capacity of each key by the vessels that offer their services.
For his part, the Secretary of Citizen Security of the Falcón state, Gral. Miguel Morales Miranda, recalled that in view of the new Brazilian strain of covid-19, this Holy Week the radical quarantine that began on March 8 will be reinforced, Therefore, all activities scheduled for the celebration of holy days that involve crowding of people are suspended.
Hence, they exhorted tourist service providers to abide by the guidelines of social distancing, use of face masks and antibacterial gel, in addition to not allowing meetings or parties in the facilities of the piers or marinas in the town of Tucacas.
