Four wells are reactivated to supply water in Barinas

Governor Argenis Chávez highlighted that 124 wells have been rehabilitated in Barinas

The Hidrológica de la Cordillera Andina (Hidroandes) and the Barinas state government awarded the equipment to reactivate four wells, benefiting more than 18 thousand inhabitants from 24 sectors of the capital municipality.

This Monday, from the regional palace, Governor Argenis Chávez delivered two 20 HP engines, one 40 HP, as well as a 20 pump body for the rehabilitation of wells 23 and 28 of Raúl Leoni, Coromoto neighborhood and Prados de Barinas.

Accompanied by the president of Hidroandes, Mayor Rafael Paredes, among other authorities, the regional president stressed that through joint work, responses are still being provided to improve public services in the entity.

He highlighted that 423 million bolivars were approved for the repair of the well board of the Francisco de Miranda urbanization and also two billion, required by Hidroandes to put the vacum into operation and thus address sewage problems.

“(…) We have already reactivated 124 wells throughout the Barinas state. We continue to attend to the problems despite adversity, "he said.

For her part, María Arevalo, a resident of Prados de Barinas, explained that with the installation of the equipment, more than 2.597 families from 12 communities will have water service.
