La Veguita water well is reactivated

At least 500 thousand liters of water per day will supply the inhabitants of the La Veguita, Montezuma and part of the Central Macuto sectors, the deep water well that was rehabilitated by Hidrocapital with the support of the Mayor's Office of the Vargas municipality.

"With the reactivation of this well, more than 2.500 people will benefit," said the president of Hidrocapital, Harol Clemente. He announced that in the next few days they will finish repairing breakdowns in the Maya - Picure pipeline, which will allow adding 300 liters per second to the supply of the Catia la Mar parish.

Arlenis Mejías, a resident of La Veguita, indicated that after nine years of work it was possible to reactivate the pumping system of the water pazo, where the sectors of the upper and lower part of the town, as well as neighboring sectors, will be benefiting.

During the day, the mayor of Vargas, José Alejandro Terán, delivered 300 meters of hoses to spokesmen of the technical water tables in the Macuto commune area, to generate new water intakes in the localities.

"Not only the wells that are being rehabilitated but also with the supply of alternate water intake hoses," said Mayor Terán.

Martha Berroterán, spokeswoman for the Guaicamacuto commune, expressed the community's gratitude to the different levels of government that have come together to solve the water problem.
