The mayor of the municipality G / J Santiago Mariño of the state of Nueva Esparta, Francisco González, inspected the work "Monument to Porlamar" that stands on the Cultural and Tourist Walk in Playa Bella Vista in which 95% progress is evidenced, according to local authority information.
González highlighted that the work, carried out by the Municipal Infrastructure and Public Services Directorates, is part of the city's tourist and economic reactivation, after a year of pandemic by Covid 19, “in projection to the dream of all Mariñenses, Porlamar power".
“They are spaces for enjoyment, for recreation, for the life that Porlamarenses deserve. We continue to make progress in the recovery of our recreation areas. This work has a special significance, it is the love that we revolutionary patriots feel for our seafaring city and its people, for everything that characterizes the people of Porlama, ”said the mayor.
He also specified that the monumental letters have been rehabilitated according to environmental standards with quality materials, according to the action of the climate and the weather, and stickers representing the icons of Porlamar have been attached to each one, such as the indigenous Guaiquerí. , the palm trees, the San Nicolás de Bari Church, the Pelícano, the Catalana, the Almendrón tree and the La Puntilla Lighthouse.
