By order of the mayor of the Sotillo municipality of the Anzoátegui state, Nelson Moreno, a sanitation plan was carried out in the city of Puerto La Cruz during and after the Christmas holidays, where more than 2 tons of solid waste and debris were collected.
The first local president reported that within the framework of the "Operation Mandarria", with the support of the workers of the Environmental Services Corporation (Coservas) and the people of Portocruz, 150 road axes of the Buenos Aires city were approached during the 24 days, December 25 and 26,
Moreno explained that the cleaning days are part of the first 100 days of municipal management, "giving a timely response to the requests of the inhabitants regarding cleaning."
The mayor affirmed that since the night of the 24th, work has been reinforced in several communities, among which the El Limón, Cerro Amarillo and Sierra Maestra sectors located on the intercommunal avenue, as well as El Maguey, Mercado Los Boqueticos and Los Cerezos stand out.
He asserted that the deployment continued with the cleaning of the Puerto La Cruz Cemetery, the Municipal Market, streets of the central area and the beach of Bahía de Pozuelos, specifically in front of the Andrés Eloy Blanco Park.
He commented that, together with volunteer personnel, a beautification day was developed around the emblematic Paseo de La Cruz y el Mar, with the purpose that citizens enjoy this important space as a family in adequate conditions during the December festivities.
