Restrictions increase in Delta Amacuro due to rebound of covid-19

The governor of the state Delta Amacuro, Lizeta Hernández, announced the new measures to prevent the spread of the Brazilian variant of covid-19.

This Monday morning, through a radio station, the governor of the state Delta Amacuro, Lizeta Hernández, announced the new measures to prevent the spread of the Brazilian variant of the covid-19 that begins to claim victims in neighboring states, such as, for example, Bolivar.

The increase in restrictions comes in response to the detection of the new variant of covid-19 that they call “Amazon Strain” from Brazil, which is faster, much more transmissible and lethal.

“In these difficult times we all have to collaborate (…) We don't want to close, but it is necessary to do so for the health of all. Perhaps the situation could get worse with regard to this multisystemic disease, this new strain does not play, ”said Lizeta Hernández.

The governor together with the Secretary of Government, Alexander Amares; the director of Security and Public Order, Noel Valderrama, and Dr. Yajaira Segovia, Unique Health Authority, indicated the suspension of public and private transport, closure of the entrance and exit of the state, with the exception of the passage of food, medicine and prioritized emergency cases and with due safe conduct.

The business in general will be able to work from 6 in the morning until 3 in the afternoon, from Monday to Saturday, with the exception of restaurants, hairdressers, liquor stores, bars and discos that must remain closed.

They made a special call to the Casacoima municipality, due to its proximity to Bolívar state, to reinforce the epidemiological fence and to comply with the new measures, for which they commissioned a health and safety team to serve this town.
