This Tuesday, April 6, the protector of Nueva Esparta and deputy to the AN, Dante Rivas, held a meeting with the Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Juan Laya and representatives of the fishing sector of the island entity, where agreements were established to strengthen activity.
Rivas explained that it is an alliance between the Ministry of Fisheries, Food, its attached entities and Corpo Nueva Esparta, which contemplates the simplification of procedures and permits to give timely responses to fishermen, processing plants and exporters, directly from the island of Margarita, in addition to the increase in the provision of fishing supplies to seafarers, through the Fishermen and Aquaculture Provider.
Also present at the meeting were the coordinator of the General Staff of Fisheries in the entity, Kendy Gratero, Osmicar Cabezas, Jorge Ramírez and Carlos Sulbarán, directors of Insopesca, Corpesca and Fonpesca in the state; the deputy to the AN América Pérez, representatives of the processing plants and other spokespersons of the sector.
“The final objective is to increase the production of fishing proteins to distribute to the island people and to all of Venezuela that receives the fishing combos through the social programs that the different institutions of the Bolivarian Government advance. Together we will continue to strengthen this important productive sector to continue guaranteeing food and strengthening the regional and national economy, ”said Rivas.
