Primitivo Cedeño was proclaimed this Wednesday as the new governor of Portuguesa, after being elected on Sunday, November 21 with 45,76% of the votes (143.859).
"This credential is not from Primitivo Cedeño, it is from the people of Portuguesa," he said, upon receiving it from the Regional Electoral Board, together with the 11 deputies of the Legislative Council of Portuguesa and the reelected mayor of Guanare, Óscar Novoa.
The other 13 mayors of Portuguesa elected this Sunday received their credentials in the municipal electoral boards.
Two of them were confirmed in their positions: Onofrio Cavallo (Turén) and Evelio Montilla (San Genaro de Boconoíto).
The new municipal authorities elected in Portuguesa are Rafael Torrealba (Páez), María Rodríguez (Araure), Heizel Ceballos (Agua Blanca), Yasmina Harris (San Rafael de Onoto), Beurys Rodríguez (Esteller), Valmore Betancourt (Guanarito), Francisco Ippolito (Papelón), Jóvito Villegas (Sucre), Oswaldo Zerpa (Unda), Carlos Barrios (Ospino) and Yanet López (Santa Rosalía).
