The protector of the Nueva Esparta state, Dante Rivas, announced this Wednesday, March 31, the arrival of the fourth batch of Sinopharm vaccines, with a total of 2.043 doses, to give continuity to the Immunization Plan for health workers of the first line of battle against the virus in health centers, hospitals and private clinics.

Rivas specified that, to date, the island has received a total of 9.621 doses of vaccines between the Russian Sputnik V and Sinopharm, with which they have been protecting health personnel and teachers, "who keep fighting and raising awareness as fundamental axes of our plan Let's go together against covid19 ”.

He also assured that the vaccination schedule established by the Presidential Commission for the Prevention and Containment of Covid-19 is being met. "We will continue with the elderly and patients at risk to continue protecting their health."

Mass screening

The protector said that this Tuesday he held a meeting with the General Health Staff during which the evolution of the pandemic in the entity and the measures that are being applied to cut the chain of infections were evaluated.

In this sense, he assured that the basic Health teams with the Barrio Adentro brigades, keep the investigations active from house to house, doing screening, treating respiratory symptomatic patients and delivering medical treatments to patients who require it, including the Carvativir drops, sent by President Nicolás Maduro to protect the health of the people.

In addition, the Civil Protection and Ven 911 teams are active applying the disinfection plan in public spaces, transport, communities and healthcare centers; as well as with efforts to raise awareness among the population about the importance of complying with biosafety measures in a disciplined manner.
