The governor of Lara state, Adolfo Pereira, reported that the authorities are inspecting and reviewing the incidents of heavy rains that originated this Saturday, March 6 in the state. Such information was released from the State Command post, where all the spokespersons of the security and Civil Protection organizations participate.
Pereira pointed out that to date only in the municipalities Iribarren (Barquisimeto), Jiménez (Quíbor) and Andrés Eloy Blanco (Sanare) some families reported the damage to their homes due to rainfall and damage to roads in their communities.
He specified that three homes located in different areas of the Iribarren municipality were flooded causing material damage to the families, they immediately received assistance in food, mattresses, personal hygiene kits among other social contributions.
The Larense community can report the rain situation to the State Command Post by dialing 0800-TIMON01 (0800-8466601). There, Pereira indicated "they are attentive 24 hours a day to attend to any eventuality that may arise."
Luis Mújica, regional director of Civil Protection and Disaster Administration of the Lara state (Pcad), stated that in any situation where the levels of channels, streams or rivers increase, Larenses can also report the situation by phone 0251-2544889 or call the VEN 911 Telecommunications Command and Control Center.
In the last hours, 55 PC officials have kept monitoring of possible risk situations also in the towns of Palavecino (Cabudare), Crespo (Duaca), Pedro León Torres (Carora), Morán (El Tocuyo).
