He stressed that the masses will be broadcast by local stations and by the parochial social network facebook live, in order to prevent the spread of the virus. Some Eucharists will be in the morning and others in the afternoon. "The Lord is inviting us to live again a unique Holy Week committed from home," he said.
In the Simón Bolívar municipality the blessing of the palms will be officiated by the parish priest Francisco Pancho Blanco, in Cristóbal Rojas it will be done by Father Jesús Martínez and in Rafael Urdaneta it will be the priest Jhofer Camacho. The priests will be accompanied by other priests.
For his part, Georgregory Oviedo, parish priest of the Basilíca Nuestra Señora de la Coromoto in Ocumare, pointed out that this Sunday the image of Jesus will be from 9 am to 12 noon at the central door of the temple. «The image of Christ will remain three hours at the doors of the church.
