The Barquisimeto Passenger Terminal, in Lara state, is providing the service only on suburban routes up to a distance of 70 kilometers, announced Lino Rodríguez, the metropolitan transportation and transit authority (Amtt), whose instance is attached to the Mayor's Office of the Iribarren Municipality in Barquisimeto.
Such decision came into effect as of this Monday, April 5, after the announcement made by President Nicolás Maduro, who decided to extend the radical quarantine for seven more days to contain the contagion of covid 19, in the presence of the country of the Brazilian variant of the deadly virus.
In this way, only the destinations to the capitals of the municipalities Andrés Eloy Blanco (Sanare), Simón Planas (Sarare), Jiménez (Quíbor), Urdaneta (Siquisique), Crespo (Duaca), Palavecino (Cabudare), Pedro León will be active. Torres (Carora), except for the destinations towards Humocaro Alto and Bajo, located in the Morán municipality (El Tocuyo), where the mayor Gisela Ramírez took additional biosecurity measures.
The Barquisimetano land terminal will operate from 6:00 in the morning until 1:00 in the afternoon. And daily, it will be subject to disinfection days as a preventive measure against the pandemic, as detailed in a press release.
