1750 tons of solid waste dammed in 8 municipalities of Táchira

As a result of the announcement of the technical closure of the San Josecito municipality Torbes landfill, made by the governor of the state Táchira about 7 days ago, there are some 1750 tons of solid waste dammed from 8 municipalities of the entity.

The mayor of the Cárdenas municipality, Richard González, accompanied by Roberto Lobo, mayor of the Torbes municipality, Luis Castro de Capacho Nuevo, Rogelio Ontiveros de Capacho Viejo and Evaristo Zambrano de Guásimos, said that “this is a criminal and arbitrary action that threatens health from the people of Tachira. It was not the best decision made by Governor Laidy Gómez, because she should have consulted with Corpotáchira and the affected municipalities to have sought a contingency plan from the day of the announcement, "he said.

For his part, the mayor of the Torbes municipality, Roberto Lobo, pointed out that they see with great concern and alarm a strong and tough political agenda regarding the technical closures of the solid waste dump that have been directed by the governor, putting health at risk of the tachirenses.

"At this time we make a very responsible call to Deputy Freddy Bernal and the Ministry of Ecosocialism to help us solve this problem because the governor creates the problems and we seek solutions," said Lobo.

Finally, Mayor Lobo clarified that: "the only person responsible for the chaos that exists due to solid waste in the 8 municipalities Capacho Nuevo, Capacho Viejo, Torbes, San Cristóbal, Cárdenas, Córdoba, Guásimos and Andrés Bello is the governor of the State," he said. .
