Xbox confirms its participation in Gamescom 2024

They promise to bring the "largest booth to date" with the presence of several games from Bethesda, Blizzard and much more

After finishing the week of the Summer Game Fest that brought with it the presentation of the Xbox Games Showcase, Microsoft Gaming has confirmed that they will be present at Gamescom 2024, one of the largest in-person events in the video game industry that will take place from the 21st to August 25 in Cologne, Germany.

Through a post on X, the official Xbox account confirmed that they will be present at said fair and that they will have their “largest stand to date.” He also confirmed that the following games would be present, with more to be confirmed at a later date:

  • Age of Mythology: Retold
  • avowed
  • Search: History Untold
  • Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred
  • Diablo Immortal
  • The Elder Scrolls Online
  • Fallout 76
  • towerborne
  • World of Warcraft: The War Within

Probably, we will know new games and more details than previously announced in the Xbox Games Showcase during Gamescom Opening Night Live, the inaugural event presented and produced by Geoff Keighley, which will return on August 20.

Neither PlayStation nor Nintendo will accompany Xbox at Gamescom

Taking into account that there are two months left until the event takes place, it is expected that other vital companies in the video game industry will confirm or deny their participation. In fact, a recent report states that Sony will not be part of the event with PlayStation for the fifth consecutive year due to cost issues.

On the other hand, Nintendo also confirmed that it will not be part of Gamescom 2024, but if it will be present at gamescom latam which will take place in Brazil from June 26 to 30 alongside Ubisoft, Niantic, Atari, Raw Fury and many more.
