The princess will star in her own 2D adventure with Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

It will arrive on September 26 along with a special edition of the Nintendo Switch Lite inspired by Zelda

Although we again had no presence of Hollow Knight: Silksong, the Nintendo Direct on Tuesday, June 18, was full of great surprises, among them, a new 2D adventure starring none other than Princess Zelda. Titled Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, it will arrive on September 26 of this year at Nintendo Switch.

The game has the same art style as the 2019 Link's Awakening remake.

One of the new features that this game proposes is that Zelda can use a new element, Tri Rod, to duplicate objects she finds in the game world, such as tables and boxes to reach new areas, or enemies to fight alongside her. .

“We have created a game in which each player's experience will be different,” said series producer Eiji Aonuma.

“In Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, it is up to Zelda and her wisdom to save the kingdom of Hyrule in a new story in The Legend of Zelda series,” Nintendo added in its official synopsis. “The people of Hyrule are being kidnapped by strange divisions that have appeared, with a certain swordsman among the missing.”

“Team up with the mysterious fairy Tri and use the power of Tri Rod to create echoes: imitations of things found in the environment. Then, he recreates those echoes whenever you want to solve puzzles and defeat enemies”

“Use echoes from water blocks to reach new heights, make bridges out of old beds, throw rocks at enemies, or find your own creative combination of echoes to do things your way. You can even create monster echoes to fight alongside you in combat.”

Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom will arrive with a new version of the Switch Lite

Aonuma appeared at the end of the announcement to reveal that a special edition Switch Lite will also be released alongside the game.
