MultiVersus, Warner's free brawler is now available

DC, Looney Tunes, Rick & Morty, Matrix, Adventure Time and more Warner Bros franchises will face each other in this new multiplayer proposal

Two years after the arrival of its open beta, MultiVersus, the new free fighting game that features the almost infinite amount of intellectual properties from Warner Bros. Discovery, is finally available on PlayStation, Xbox and PC consoles (via Steam and Epic Games Store) after endless changes and improvements, among them is the change to Unreal Engine 5 and improvements to its monetization system.

Developed by Player First Games with live production and management support from Warner Bros. Games San Diego, MultiVersus features an ever-expanding roster of popular characters based on the Warner Bros. Discovery franchises. Also upon release, Season 1: Puns & Villainy brings new playable fighters into action like DC supervillain Joker; Jason Voorhees from the Friday the 13th horror film franchise; and Banana Guard from Adventure Time, along with Agent Smith from the Matrix saga, who will join the cast later in the season.

Additionally, its official launch brings with it a new PvE mode called Rift, offering a different way to experience the game outside of competitive PvP matches.

List of playable characters in Multiversus:

  • Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Black Adam and The Joker (DC)

Before its launch, the team had the opportunity to interview none other than Artak Avakyan, who has worked on other titles such as God of War 2 and 3, where he gives us his point of view on the MultiVersus development process, the philosophy of how the characters should feel in the game and what new players who are interested in this new free proposal should expect.

This interview subtitled in Spanish was possible thanks to Warner Bros. Discovery Latin America.
