First look at Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher

Netflix officially revealed what the new lead actor will look like for the fourth season of the series

After Henry Cavill decided to leave his leading role in the Netflix-exclusive series The Witcher and the subsequent announcement that Liam Hemsworth would be his replacement, viewers based their criticism with skepticism until a first image of the actor in his new role was leaked. protagonist.

Now, Netflix has revealed a slightly more detailed first look at the actor playing Geralt. You can see it below:

Although the Geralt played by Liam Hemsworth maintains the same essence, no matter who plays him thanks to his characteristic white hair, his muscles and the black outfit, the comparisons with Henry Cavill do not stop and it does not seem that they will soon.

Despite giving The Witcher fans their first look at the new Geralt and an accompanying trailer, Netflix has yet to set a release date for The Witcher season 4. The fourth season really hasn't even been confirmed for release in 2024, leaving fans of this series wondering whether or not it will arrive this year.

Why did Liam Hemsworth replace Henry Cavil in the series?

Cavill announced that he would stop playing the character of The Witcher in 2022 before the final episodes of the third season premiered in 2023. Of course, this news shocked fans of the actor and the series, knowing that Cavill is a big fan of The Witcher (and a lot of other geeky stuff to be honest), showing his passion for it.

However, there have been a number of indications that Cavill was unhappy with how the series has been adapting the source material, which generated discontent to the point of walking away from the series. Likewise, it is something that is not clear because neither Henry Cavill nor the show's showrunner, Lauren Hissrich, have offered official statements on the matter.
