TSJ prepared to participate in the Ibero-American Judicial Summit

Within the framework of the policies promoted by the president of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), magistrate Maikel Moreno, to promote the active participation of the Venezuelan Judicial Power in the articulation of efforts with the different Ibero-American judicial powers with a view to strengthening an optimal administration of justice, the Highest Court of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela intervened in a meeting of the Commission for the Coordination and Follow-up of the Ibero-American Judicial Summit, carried out by means of videoconference, a press release refers.

During the meeting it was agreed to carry out a new work activity at the end of July to find out if, ultimately, it will be possible to hold the Plenary Assembly of the Ibero-American Judicial Summit in person at the end of October, according to the reality of Panama, which is the host country, and the evolution of health policies worldwide, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The magistrate Indira Alfonzo Izaguirre, president of the Electoral Chamber of the TSJ and member of the Commission for Coordination and Follow-up of the Ibero-American Judicial Summit, intervened in the virtual meeting, to inform that suggestions will be sent to the new regulation of the Ibero-American Network of Legal Cooperation International, IberRed - one of the topics on the Commission's agenda - which also includes the work schedule for the next edition of the Ibero-American Judicial Summit and the future election of the members of its commissions.
