The Venezuelan president, Nicolás Maduro, said in the commemorative acts of January 23, 1958, that he is willing to dialogue with the new government of the United States to rebuild the relationships that were discarded by the previous governments of the White House.
"Today we say, Venezuela is willing to turn the page and establish new ways of communication with the new US government," he said.
“Our path will always be that of peace, the constitutional path, always with the people. All that we are, we are because of the vote of the people ”, recalled President Maduro from the people's balcony in the Miraflores Palace.
“This year we are focused on breaking the blockade and recovering the wealth that this situation took from us in recent years. We are committed to a national dialogue with all sectors ”, recalled the president.
