Through an official statement, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, FANB, expressed this Tuesday its absolute support for the forceful actions taken by the National Executive against some officials engaged in corruption.
In the text signed by the Minister of Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, the FANB regrets and rejects the participation in acts of corruption of some military professionals who were on secondment in the Public Administration, specifically in PDVSA.
Similarly, the release Disseminated on the Twitter account of the FANB Press, highlighted that these acts of corruption significantly affect the republican morale, peace, good living, development and prosperity of Venezuelan society.
“The FANB will strictly comply with the order issued by President Nicolás Maduro Moros, our Commander-in-Chief, to eradicate all unethical practices in the management of public resources, since the Bolivarian Revolution emerged as an alternative to the rotten and immoral state in which it is found the Fourth Republic; therefore, we unrestrictedly endorse and support the titanic effort to combat corruption in all its forms”, reads the text.

In recent days we have learned of the forceful actions taken by the Bolivarian Government against a group of public officials who have committed flagrant acts of corruption, which significantly affect republican morale, peace, good living, development and the prosperity of the Venezuelan society. The Liberator Simón Bolívar pointed it out well on February 29, 1828 at the Bogotá National Convention: Consider that the corruption of the peoples arises from the indulgence of the courts and from impunity for crimes. See that without strength there is no virtue; and without virtue the Republic perishes.
Unfortunately, such events also include some military professionals who are serving on a commission in the National Public Administration, specifically in PDVSA, who have violated the legal system, as well as the traditions and ethical principles that characterize the armed institution; which deserves the most categorical rejection. Consequently, they have been placed at the disposal of the competent bodies in order to assist in the investigations that are carried out and establish administrative or criminal responsibilities as the case may be.
The Bolivarian National Armed Forces will strictly comply with the order issued by President Nicolás Maduro Moros, our Commander-in-Chief, to eradicate all unethical practices in the management of public resources, since the Bolivarian Revolution emerged as an alternative to the rotten and immoral state in that there was the Fourth Republic; Therefore, we unrestrictedly endorse and support the titanic effort to combat corruption in all its forms, and we are completely certain that this determined battle, constituted in a clear State policy, will yield significant results to continue guaranteeing the defense of the most high interests of the Venezuelan people.
