Russian Vice President and Ambassador discuss bilateral cooperation issues

The ambassador of the Russian Federation in Venezuela, Sergei Melik-Bagdasarov, received this Friday the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez on a visit that served to address current issues of bilateral cooperation between both countries.

They took the opportunity to discuss issues of world interest, the ambassador assured this through a post published on Twitter.

«I was honored to receive the Most Excellent Executive Vice President in our Embassy. We address current issues of bilateral and international cooperation. I am pleased that relations between our countries are always mutually respectful and fruitful, "he posted on his social network account.

Venezuela and Russia are in constant meetings in favor of their diplomatic relations.

On Wednesday, August 18, Vice President Rodríguez thanked Russia for supporting the dialogue process between the government and the opposition, in a telephone conversation with Foreign Minister Seguéi Lavrov.

Government and opposition delegations signed a memorandum of understanding in Mexico City on August 13, with the support of Norway, with which both parties began a process of dialogue and negotiation.
