US violates Venezuelan airspace again

The Minister of People's Power for Defense, G / J Vladimir Padrino López, denounced this Friday that a United States military aircraft was flying over Venezuelan airspace.

According to a statement published by the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Fanb), a C-17 type aircraft of heavy military transport belonging to the Air Force of the United States of North America, traveled approximately 14 nautical miles over the westernmost area of the Sierra de Perijá, Zulia state.

The event occurred last night, Thursday, July 22, from 20:47 p.m. until 20:50 p.m. (3 minute span).

Through a post published on Twitter, he stressed, “I categorically reject the violation of our sovereign airspace by a US military aircraft. This occurs at the moment that Iván Duque slavishly surrenders the sovereignty of the Colombian people to foreign military bases. It is a serious threat to the entire region, "he said.

Here is the full statement:

The Bolivarian National Armed Forces denounces the violation of Venezuelan airspace by a C-17 type aircraft of heavy military transport belonging to the Air Force of the United States of North America, an event that occurred last night on Thursday, July 22 from 20:47 p.m. : 20 hrs. until 50:3 p.m. (14-minute period), making a journey of approximately XNUMX nautical miles over the westernmost area of the Sierra de Perijá, Zulia state.

This flagrant provocation occurs within the framework of the combined military exercises carried out by the Colombian Air Force and Army in the Departments of Antioquia and Cundinamarca respectively, in which there is also a presence of American F-16 and RC135 fighter jets for strategic exploration. It should be noted that so far in 2021, North American aircraft have violated the Maiquetía Flight Information Region (FIR) on 21 occasions, leading to a serious violation of international aeronautical standards.

We reiterate before the international community and Multilateral Organizations that the presence of North American Bases in Colombian territory represent a permanent threat and constitute an atrocious interference mechanism that significantly affects the stability of the Caribbean and Latin American region, where, thanks to the integrationist effort of the Supreme Commander Hugo Chávez, has been working on its consolidation as Peace Zone.

We are aware that as part of the aforementioned exercises, reconnaissance tasks are being carried out towards the Venezuelan geographical area, which is why we do not rule out other possible hostile actions that threaten our sovereignty and territorial integrity. In this sense, citizen Nicolás Maduro Moros, Constitutional President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Commander in Chief of the FANB, has issued precise orders to remain alert and respond forcefully to any act of aggression.

Chávez lives!… The Homeland continues!

Independence and Socialist Homeland! ... We will live and win!

Independence or nothing! Always loyal!… Never traitors!

The Sun of Venezuela is born in the Essequibo!
