ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan arrives in Venezuela

The Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Karim Khan, arrived in Venezuela to fulfill a three-day work schedule, in which he will meet with Venezuelan authorities.

The reception this Sunday at the Simón Bolívar International Airport was in charge of the Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Relations, Félix Plasencia, reviewed a press release from the Mppre.

The visit, which responds to the formal invitation made by the Venezuelan State through the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic, takes place within the framework of the institutional relations that Venezuela has maintained with the CIP since its inception.

On this occasion, Prosecutor Khan is expected to know first-hand the progress of the State institutions and establish a dialogue of positive cooperation, as he has been doing since his ratification of the Rome Statute.
