The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, held a meeting on Monday with the International Feminist Brigade "Alexandra Kollontai", at the Miraflores Palace.
During the meeting, the president stressed that "Venezuela has a powerful truth in the streets, communities, in the family and the institutions."
"That most powerful truth is the Venezuelan woman, her conscience, her principles, her values and her strength of resistance," she explained.
Likewise, the Head of State referred to the innovative plans created for Venezuelan women such as Humanized Childbirth and the Breastfeeding Plan, inviting them to internationalize them.
“We must open the doors of our training programs, the Humanized Childbirth Plan, which is combined with the Breastfeeding Plan, is a plan that supports the family and life, and is the creation of the revolution and is available to share it with the feminist movements of the world”, she exhorted.
The meeting was attended by women from countries such as the Kingdom of Eswatini, South Africa, Ghana, Lesotho, Zambia, Türkiye, Italy, the United States, Spain, Romania, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Cuba, Ecuador, Nepal, Morocco, Tunisia, Iraq and Palestine, who are in the country, sharing experiences of feminism.
For her part, the Minister for Women and Gender Equality, Diva Guzmán, asserted that the Brigade, during its tour of the country, has learned about the experiences of Venezuelan women in revolution.
"We were able to exchange with the different women's movements in Venezuela, they saw the face of women in the exercise of power with several women who exercise and work with you in the cabinet and we closed with an exchange of ideas about the progress we have in the country in defense of women's rights," she emphasized.
