Meléndez: Chávez left precise guidelines for the route to socialism

The people took to the streets of Caracas to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Day of Loyalty and Love for Commander Hugo Chávez

Commander Hugo Chávez "left us the precise guidelines" to continue with the task of building Bolivarian socialism for the XNUMXst century, and not allow any empire to attack the peace and sovereignty of the Venezuelan people, Carmen Meléndez, a member of the National leadership of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV).

“He left us with the precise guidelines of what we had to do, and we abide by Chávez's instructions, who will always live with us. We have to be like him,” Meléndez stressed in a speech during the Day of Loyalty and Love march for Commander Hugo Chávez.

The march that takes place this December 8 is to commemorate the Day of Loyalty and Love for Hugo Chávez, 10 years after his last appearance on national television in which he called for the preservation of the Bolivarian Revolution and national unity.

Meléndez highlighted that “Chávez is present in what we do daily. Chávez is with the people, he is with everything ”.

He emphasized that Hugo Chávez ceased to be a President to become a people, "Chávez is the people, the student, the girl, the boy, he multiplied and today we are commemorating this day, a day that was sad and painful, because it was a farewell ”.

He gave his life for the country

Hugo Chávez raised up an entire town that once again had hope and “gave his life for all of us, for the town. He left us on our way, and he warned us that difficult times were coming, but no one here has knelt down, ”said Carmen Meléndez.

Since his last appearance, Meléndez indicated that all Venezuelans “continue with the same strength to fulfill the dreams of our beloved Commander. Today commemorating this day of his last proclamation, live with the people, giving his guidance, we have him more present than ever ”.

love with actions

Carmen Meléndez called on the people that "today, on the Day of Loyalty and Love for the Commander, we must demonstrate our love for Chávez with actions and daily work, with what corresponds to each street, municipality, State, throughout Venezuela." .

"Every day we are more confident to continue on the route and path of Chávez and next to our President Maduro Moros, for this reason we continue here accompanying him, to fulfill the dreams of our beloved Commander," he added.

Chávez will never lose validity

For his part, the first vice president of the PSUV, Diosdado Cabello, who also participated in the march on the Day of Loyalty and Love for Commander Chávez, pointed out that "with Commander Chávez we decided to make a Revolution that means changing everything that needs to be changed to fix everything."

He said that "imperialism does not forgive anyone, but here our commitment is with the people." He also said that unity is part of one's own loyalty, and stressed that the Bolivarian Government continues to be united thanks to the example left by Commander Hugo Chávez.

Therefore, Cabello continued, "Chávez will not lose validity, he will be like Fidel, a giant of the times, in action and thought, and here we will always pay tribute to him."

He also stressed that "Chavismo is a way of life, it is a reality that goes beyond a political sector."

Day of Loyalty and Love to Chávez

This Thursday, December 8, different social movements, government organizations and the people in general marched through the streets of Caracas with the aim of commemorating the Day of Loyalty and Love to Hugo Chávez, who 10 years ago made his last television address, in which he called for national unity and firmness to continue with the Bolivarian Revolution.

The march started from the Plaza de la Resistencia Indígena, in Plaza Venezuela, and arrived at the Cuartel de la Montaña 4F, in the 23 de Enero parish, where the mortal remains of the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution lie.

This date commemorates the last proclamation of Hugo Chávez Frías, made on December 8, 2012, during which the Commander and leader of the Bolivarian Revolution announced his return to Cuba to receive medical treatment and asked the Venezuelan people to elect as President to Nicolás Maduro in case of any eventuality.
