Maduro creates General rank of the Sovereign People for FANB officers

At the commemorative event for the 203rd anniversary of the Battle of Carabobo, the Head of State assured that no government will arrive in the country that privatizes the military institution and brings back American soldiers to lead the FANB and impose its doctrines.

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, announced the creation of the General rank of the Sovereign People as the highest hierarchy that an officer of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) can achieve.

During the laying of a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, in Commemoration of the 203rd Anniversary of the Battle of Carabobo and Bolivarian Army Day, the President explained that this new rank was designed in honor of the hero Ezequiel Zamora, who gave his life for defending the Venezuelan people.

“Only an officer who fully complies with the ethics, morals, dignity and doctrine of Bolívar and Zamora can reach this level,” he said.

Likewise, the Commander in Chief of the FANB assured that no government will arrive in the country that privatizes the military institution and brings back American soldiers to lead the FANB and impose its doctrines.

“The Southern Command and the gringos will never rule here again. In Venezuela we Venezuelans rule, and our FANB is directed by our patriotic military. There are soldiers here to defend the Homeland and the Revolution of the 21st century, that of our commander Hugo Chávez,” he emphasized.

“We are, we were and we will be an army for the people, an anti-colonial army, an anti-imperialist army, an anti-oligarchic army,” said the president who marched with his General Staff and his Armed Forces in the Carabobo Field.

military power

On the other hand, Maduro called on the men and women in olive green to build, towards 2030, a military power to guarantee peace and our territorial integrity. “Let us have the most splendid military power and Venezuela will be respected by the world, and we will recover, in due course, what is ours,” he emphasized.

Likewise, he assured that within our Bolivarian Military University, in the barracks, the best soldiers in all of America are being trained. He pointed out that our uniformed personnel are distinguished by their doctrine, strategic concept, their morale and their tricolor flag with its eight stars.

In this sense, he stressed that Venezuela has patriotic people and soldiers who defend it.

On the other hand, the Head of State reminded the oligarchies of Colombia and Peru that it was the soldiers of the Venezuelan people who gave independence and freedom to those two nations.

“Venezuela gives birth to liberators,” declared the President.
