Chancellor denounced plans against Venezuela to the Diplomatic Corps

Yván Gil highlighted that these plans add to the policy of aggressions and sanctions that have been imposed on the country with the intention of overthrowing the Revolutionary Government.

The Chancellor of the Republic, Yván Gil, presented to the diplomatic corps accredited in the country the complaint about the attempt by the Venezuelan extreme right to contact Colombian paramilitaries to carry out terrorist actions in the country, in view of the elections on July 28. .

In a meeting held at the headquarters of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, he highlighted that this information, in addition to what was provided by the Colombian irregulars, was verified by the country's intelligence agencies "so we can give the assurance that it is true, certain."

In this sense, he pointed out that the Venezuelan prosecutor's office has already initiated contacts with the Colombian prosecutor's office and with the security systems shared by both nations, to advance the investigations in this regard.

Likewise, he highlighted that these plans to provoke violence in the country add to the policy of aggression and sanctions that have been imposed on our country with the intention of overthrowing the Revolutionary Government.

“In this democratic party, the candidate who is at a disadvantage is the candidate for re-election. There has been a policy of sanctions, of attacks that has gone directly to the heart of the exercise of Government and has sought to harm the people. We must denounce to the world that our elections are interfered with by internal agents, especially from the United States, which seeks to distort the will of the people,” he highlighted.

Likewise, he highlighted the transparency and security of the Venezuelan electoral system, which is completely automated, auditable and secure. "It is perhaps one of the most perfect that exists on the face of the Earth,” he stressed.
