Diosdado Cabello held a meeting with the Russian ambassador to Venezuela

This Monday, February 22, the first Vice President of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (Psuv), Diosdado Cabello, held a meeting with the ambassador of the Russian Federation, Sergey Melik-Bagdasarov, with the aim of continuing to strengthen ties of solidarity and bilateral cooperation between both nations.

At the meeting, several topics were discussed, such as Russia's cooperation with Venezuela in the fight against covid-19, regarding the arrival of the first 100 doses of the Sputnik V vaccine to the country. As well as the agreements between the Psuv and the United Russia party.

Also, at the meeting, Ambassador Sergey Melik-Bagdasarov took the opportunity to hand over to the first Vice President of the PSUV some documents sent by United Russia and the Communist Party of Russia. 

Let us remember that in 2019, the also deputy to the National Assembly (AN) made a visit to Russia in which ties of friendship and cooperation were strengthened and the exchange of technology was agreed to boost Venezuelan production.

In addition, during his visit, he held a meeting with the Presidium Commission of the General Council for International Relations of the United Russia party, where bilateral cooperation relations with the Eurasian country were strengthened, both at a political level with the United Russia party, as well as institutional, with the Russian parliament.
