Crowds gathered in Carabobo to greet Maduro

The Head of State shared with the people of Carabobo, prior to the commemorative events of the 203 years of the Battle of Carabobo

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, was received by the people of Carabobo in an atmosphere of emotion and joy, this Monday, June 24, when the 203 years of the Battle of Carabobo are commemorated.

The head of state greeted all those who approached him, in the context of the pilgrimage he is carrying out with the mandate to serve the Venezuelan people. Likewise, he recognized the approach of citizens and their efforts to maintain the construction of a dignified homeland.

In this sense, President Maduro shared with the people of Carabobo in the context of this historic date for the nation. The entity's field was the scene of the most extraordinary military action in Venezuelan history, “the battle that sealed independence,” he explained earlier.

The Presidential Press account X published a video that records the warm reception that the Carabobeños gave the Head of State.

The Battle of Carabobo meant the great victory of the patriot Army over the royalist military, in the Carabobo Savannah.

Simón Bolívar led the victory in this battle, accompanied by Santiago Mariño, José Antonio Páez, Manuel Cedeño, Ambrosio Plaza and a large group of men who faced the Spanish forces that still had the country colonized.

After long hours, the royalist Army, seeing itself overwhelmed by the Venezuelan military, opted to withdraw.
