At present, on the border of Venezuela with Colombia, specifically in the state of Apure, there are armed confrontations between the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Fanb) and irregular armed groups from the neighboring country that are trying to locate in Venezuelan territory.
These events have been pointed out by the Venezuelan Government as part of a plan to destabilize the country and generate a false positive that triggers a military escalation between Venezuela and Colombia, a strategy that is part of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), a military coalition. with a history of invasions in Europe, Eurasia, Asia and Africa.
“At this time the Southern Command and the Government of Colombia must be planning revenge actions (…) Be very careful not to fall into provocations or create provocations, because they want to escalate to a military conflict between Colombian military forces and Venezuelan military forces, that It is the immediate objective ”, warned President Nicolás Maduro on March 28.
This complaint by the Venezuelan president has been a constant since the arrival of the government of Iván Duque in Colombia, where the existence of training camps for mercenaries who carried out the Gideon operation and the frustrated assassination with drones, military provocations with incursions has been demonstrated. by "error" of Colombian troops in Venezuelan territory, accusations of incursion of Venezuelan military in Colombian territory and, the most used by Uribismo, the accusations of being Venezuela "sanctuary of the FARC and the ELN".
After the failure of the previous ones, the latter has been the most groped, not only by the Colombian Government, but by the extremist opposition led by Leopoldo López and the self-styled “United States Ambassador to Venezuela,” James Story, whom the Government Venezuelan accuses of possessing the intellectual authorship of these latest actions, which they assure were planned on December 10 during the visit of the Venezuelan fugitive to Colombia.
Duque and López in communion
During his visit to Colombia, López met with President Duque, “Ambassador” Story, and the political mentor and main promoter of false positives, Álvaro Uribe Vélez. This visit was made shortly after the parliamentary elections that put an end to the National Assembly in contempt, which merited a change in the strategy that had been launched with the self-proclamation of Juan Guaidó on January 23, 2019.
"Humanitarian crisis" and "Venezuela sanctuary for terrorists" were an essential part of the speech of the opposition extremist who came to warn that the alleged terrorists in Venezuelan territory "are going to end their reign of terror."
"Mr. Leopoldo López, and I want to advance that, of which we are going to show evidence next week, he planned a bomb attack on the headquarters of the National Assembly, we are going to show all the evidence," was the accusation made by the President of the Venezuelan Parliament, Deputy Jorge Rodríguez, on January 31 of this year.
Later, he showed the testimony of Richard Grillet Álvarez, in charge of placing the explosives, who confirmed contacts with CIA elements under the protection of Colombian intelligence, who had hired him to place explosive boxes in the administrative and session headquarters of the Parliament.
Site preparation and execution
After the failure of this plan and in the midst of the presentation of the evidence and testimonies that pointed to Leopoldo López and the Colombian Government as the intellectual authors of this event, a publication arises in the Colombian magazine Semana, where they indicate that the Colombian guerrilla maintains camps in Venezuela, thus beginning this operation denounced by President Maduro and which had as a precedent a series of actions aimed at promoting the image of a "sanctuary for terrorists" and "human rights violators" against Venezuela.
Below is a chronology of the events:
7 February. Semana magazine publishes photos of Iván Márquez under the title: “Exclusive: This is how Iván Márquez, Santrich, Romaña and El Paisa move in Venezuela".
That same day Leopoldo López reacted through his Twitter account "alerting" the "international community" about the "risk" of the alleged "criminal operations for the entire region."
8 February. President Duque holds a meeting with the UNHCR High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi, where they talk about the "humanitarian crisis due to Venezuelan migration." Later that day he announced the creation of an "elite force" in Colombia against guerrillas and drug traffickers "protected" by Venezuela.
"Clearly in Venezuela many of them are protected because the Cartel of the Suns is next to Nicolás Maduro, it is carrying out drug trafficking operations," he said in statements with Radio Nacional.
10 February. The United States Senate issues a bipartisan resolution where they "condemn the fraud of December 6" and ratify their recognition of Juan Guaidó as "interim president."
18 February. Amnesty International calls for the inclusion of 14 alleged extrajudicial executions by the Special Actions Forces (Faes) in the file that they raised before the Prosecutor's Office of the International Criminal Court.
That same day, President Nicolás Maduro ordered the Fanb to "clean the cannons" in view of the announcement made by Duque regarding the creation of a special force to act on the border "against drug trafficking."
“I have told the Armed Forces to respond forcefully to the reckless statements of Iván Duque on Venezuela, to answer them by word of mouth and to clean the barrels of our rifles to answer them in the plane that we have to answer if Iván Duque dares to violate the sovereignty of Venezuela, "said Maduro.
22 February. The Council of the European Union issues new sanctions against 19 Venezuelan politicians, judges and military, among whom is the head of the Operational State Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (CeoFanb), (A / J) Remigio Ceballos.
This same day, President Duque, during his participation in the Human Rights Council of the United Nations, accused the Venezuelan Government of promoting "forced disappearances, arbitrary detentions and extrajudicial executions" against opponents.
At the same time, a meeting of Story with a leader of the extremist opposition is taking place in New Granada, which was revealed by the president of the National Assembly and confirmed by the US official on his Twitter account.
25 February. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Spain, Arancha González Laya, travels to Colombia to address the issue of Venezuela and the “humanitarian crisis”.
26 February. During the visit of the Spanish Foreign Minister, Duque activates the Command Against Drug Trafficking and Transnational Threats, a crime of which he constantly accuses the Venezuelan government authorities.
27 February. The Spanish Foreign Minister visits the Colombian-Venezuelan border and expresses her support for the Colombian Government, which she highlights by pointing out that it provides protection to Venezuelans fleeing in search of a better life.
March . US Secretary of State Antony Blinken reports on a conversation he had with Juan Guaidó and confirmed the "unwavering support" of the new Biden administration.
March . The NGO Provea issues a report that assures that at least 2.800 extrajudicial executions have been carried out by the security agencies of the Venezuelan State.
March . The Facts Determination Mission presents new cases of alleged “extrajudicial executions” and accuses the Venezuelan Government of violating human rights.
March . The Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, presents a new report where it reiterates the denunciation of "extrajudicial executions" by the Venezuelan security organizations. Extremist opposition asks to dissolve the Faes.
March : On this date, it is estimated, the installation of the camps of the irregular armed groups of Colombia begins in the town of La Victoria, and in Caracas there are actions by criminal groups in various areas, emulating what happened in Petare days prior to the attempted landing of mercenaries on the coasts of La Guaira and Aragua called "Operation Gideon."
March . The Minister for Petroleum, Tareck El Aissami, informs the country about an attack on the El Tejero gas pipeline, a town located in the Ezequiel Zamora municipality, north of the Venezuelan state of Monagas.
That same day, the offensive by the Fanb began on the camps of irregular groups installed in La Victoria, Apure, where two Venezuelan officers were killed in combat and the arrest of thirty terrorists was achieved.
March . Duque announces the mobilization of 2.000 Colombian soldiers to the border with Venezuela under the argument of preventing the confrontations that arise in Venezuelan territory, as a result of the incursion of Colombian irregulars, from moving to Colombia. In this regard, Foreign Minister Jorge Arreza assured that this mobilization was aimed at protecting terrorists who violate national sovereignty.
From these first combats, the border area of Apure has remained as the Fanb's center of operations in persecuting the irregular fleeing to Colombia where, according to Minister Padrino López, they are protected by the Duque government.
False positive attempt
Now, from Colombia, as a response to the forceful action of the Fanb that demolished the matrix of the "Protective State of the Farc", an operation began under the scheme of resuming the discourse of "violation of human rights", where the media speak of "Extrajudicial executions" of peasants, for which they request the intervention of international organizations to stop the alleged "massacre", as revealed by the audios obtained from the heads of these Colombian irregular groups.
All this effort was silenced as a result of the emergence of statements by the deputy and peasant leader Héctor Orlando Zambrano, who denied the abuse matrix of the Fanbs.
Later, a video emerged where a representative of the Colombian Ombudsman's Office confirmed that the inhabitants of La Victoria had been displaced by the irregular who even burned their homes.
Similar operations file
This settlement operation of external irregular elements in Venezuelan territory is similar to what happened in Nicaragua between 1983 and 1990 where, as the declassified documents demonstrated, the United States promoted the formation of the so-called Nicaraguan “Contras” that from the border with Costa Rica they waged a war against the Government Army of the Sandinista National Liberation Front.
This fact allowed the generation of a scenario of attrition in the face of Nicaraguan public opinion that was reflected in the electoral defeat of the Sandinistas in that year 90, where the majority perceived that if the revolutionaries continued in front of power, it would be to give continuity to a conflict that had left hyperinflation and more than 10 casualties between wounded and killed in combat.
We will defeat them!
All these facts have been evaluated by the journalist and deputy Roy Daza, who is second vice president of the Foreign Policy Commission of the National Assembly. The parliamentarian stressed that the actions of the Fanb demolish the support matrix for the FARC guerrillas in Venezuela that the Colombian president has tried to install.
"The recent performance of our Fanb of the operative group in the border area shows the unwavering position of our Government in relation to these irregular groups," he sentenced while limiting these accusations against Venezuela by the Colombian authorities as a strategy to divert attention from internal problems.
“This has to do, first of all, with an objective fact that can be analyzed, about the political situation of the president of Colombia. His political horizon has been diminishing significantly, he has just had a political defeat by seeking a constitutional reform that had no place and no support, even among people who are linked to his Government. Secondly, the most important problem is the scandals with the killings of social leaders, defenders of human rights and ex-guerrillas who assumed the mass struggle, the political struggle, in the legal struggle to participate in Colombian politics through the agreements. of Havana and today that agreement is succumbing due to the instability and inaction of President Duque. But, as if that were not enough, the little attention that the coronavirus pandemic has and the despair even of large popular areas and of the Colombian middle classes due to the ineptitude of President Duque, "he said.
For Daza, at this time, the unity of all Venezuelans is important to guarantee success in the face of these destabilizing operations directed from Colombia with the support of the United States and the large media conglomerates.
"There is political unity in the National Assembly, I can really say, with all property, that the foreign policy commission, of which I am a part as second vice president, is doing intense work on the importance of the unity of the country, the unity of the democrats and the unity of the revolutionary forces, around the defense of sovereignty ”, he stressed and warned that what has been demonstrated by the Fanb shows the unwavering position that the Colombian authorities who are committed to an armed conflict with Venezuela.
“You already know what is going to happen to you. As on May 3, and as in this attempt to violate our sovereignty, we will defeat them ”, he declared.
