César Gómez

The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

César Gómez is a singer and composer, during his career he belonged to Vasallos de Venezuela and is a soloist singer on the Piso 1 platform. Now he is putting the finishing touches on his second album of Venezuelan music, entitled More happy than ever.

He is also a professor of music, but in his rare spare time he reads. Of course, he considers it very important for interpreters and musicians who take the path of our folklore, to read a lot of specialized material: “There is a book that I always recommend with my eyes closed, which is Efraín Subero's La décima popular en Venezuela. It encompasses the best tenths that I have read in my history. It serves me as a musician and as a teacher ”.

The second is The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry: “My little girl grew up reading that story and she always rereads it with great affection”.

"Of course The Red Spears by Arturo Uslar Pietri that talks about our history, about that magical realism," he quoted.
There is The Metamorphosis of Frank Kafka: “It is an extraordinary thing for me. In general his work seems great to me. His way of writing those stories that are a bit cruel and that tell us so much.

He added that “there are others that are for consultation for me, who work with popular culture, such as The Bigott Foundation's Atlas of Traditions in Venezuela.
