With the commitment to review, discuss, approve and disseminate the content of several pending ordinances from last year, the new authorities of the Municipal Council of Caracas were sworn in.
In an act that took place in the Patio de los Leones, at the headquarters of the Mayor's Office of the Libertador municipality, Councilwoman Beatriz Rodríguez assumed the position of president of the Municipal Council and her counterpart Alexander Aranguren was sworn in as vice president of this organization.
They indicated that among the ordinances that will be reviewed are the one referring to the motorized, citizen coexistence, gender diversity and of course the regulations in the health area, which have to do with the prevention of covid-19.
Likewise, they indicated that they will carry out the functions of social comptrollership to the management of the mayor of Libertador Carmen Meléndez.
They indicated that the 13 councilors that make up the Municipal Chamber will remain in the streets promoting communal parliamentarism, in the 22 Caracas parishes, listening to the proposals that the neighbors have to offer, who they also invited to propose draft ordinances for discussion.
